Role Overview :

As a Sr. Software Architect, you will act as the technical bridge between two enterprise platforms, ensuring architectural alignment as both systems converge. You will work closely with global leadership while being based in India, translating architectural strategy into actionable guidance for local development teams.

This role combines strategic architecture with hands-on technical leadership. You will drive key architectural decisions for platform migration and integration, while also mentoring engineering teams and strengthening overall technical maturity.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop deep expertise in both platforms and become the go-to person for understanding their architecture, interactions, and integration points.

- Define and drive the migration and integration strategy, including identifying what to migrate, retire, or re-architect.

- Participate in global architecture reviews and planning discussions, representing India-based teams and constraints.

- Gather and manage business requirements and align them with architectural decisions.

- Communicate architectural strategies and decisions clearly to stakeholders across geographies.

- Continuously improve architecture processes and align them with organizational priorities.

- Maintain clear documentation, including architecture decision records accessible to all stakeholders.

- Ensure architectural requirements are reflected in development roadmaps and backlogs.

- Identify and prioritize technical debt, especially areas impacting platform convergence.

- Mentor senior developers and tech leads, building strong architectural capability within the India team.

- Establish and enforce architecture review processes aligned with global standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in commercial software development, with at least 3 years in an Architect or Principal Engineer role.

- Proven experience in platform migration or multi-system integration.

- 3+ years of hands-on cloud experience (AWS), including designing scalable, distributed systems.

- Strong knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.

- Experience working with both legacy monolithic systems and modern cloud-native architectures.

- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working with platform/foundation teams in a multi-product environment is preferred.
