Senior Shopify Engineer

Description :

- Participate in and help lead technical discovery sessions with the Lead Architect.

- Provide expert-level input in solution architecture and technical decision-making.

- Break down complex problem statements into actionable technical plans.

Development & Solution Architecture :

- Design and implement advanced Shopify features, integrations, and customizations.

- Develop and maintain complex Shopify backend (Liquid, APIs, custom apps) and frontend

(theme development, performance optimization).

- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to industry best practices.

Team Mentorship & Delegation :

- Groom technical user stories and define clear implementation requirements for the engineering team.

- Delegate development tasks to Shopify Engineers and provide guidance throughout

implementation.

- Mentor team members through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical coaching.

Process & Quality Ownership :

- Uphold engineering standards and ensure high-quality deliveries.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows, tooling, and development processes.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Proven experience in Shopify backend and frontend development (Liquid, Shopify APIs, custom apps, theme development).

- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and scalable architecture.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
