Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Senior Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) to lead development and integration tasks in an SAP S/4HANA rollout project.

The role focuses on hands-on cloud-native application development, API management, data modeling, and ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA systems using SAP BTP services.

Mandatory Skills :

- SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) core platform services and Cloud Foundry runtime understanding, including integration with SAP systems.

- SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) experience building and deploying cloud apps using CAP principles with Node.js or Java.

- SAP HANA / BTP HANA DB data modeling, table creation, persistence, and CDS service development.

- SDLC Process strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes (design, code review, quality, deployment).

- Code Review & Version Control experience with GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools for source control and transport management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead hands-on development and technical design of SAP BTP cloud applications using CAPM on the Cloud Foundry runtime.

- Build enterprise-grade CDS models, Node.js based services, and expose OData APIs for consumption by UI or integration layers.

- Configure and manage API specs, API lifecycle (build, publish, manage), and secure APIs with an OpenAPI specification model.

- Develop extensibility artifacts and integrations using SAP BTP, ensuring robust connectivity with SAP S/4HANA via Cloud Connector.

- Work with SAP BPA (Business Process Automation) and Business Rules for logic automation and decision services.

- Implement efficient data persistence strategies using SAP BTP HANA DB tables and services.

- Conduct code reviews, estimate development effort, and ensure high-quality deliverables following SDLC best practices.

- Assist functional teams with test data preparation, environment setup, and testing cycles.

- Mentor technical team members and guide junior developers on best practices.

- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and support artifacts for knowledge transfer.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to other SAP BTP services such as Integration Suite, Event Mesh, or Workflow services.

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 integration on BTP and front-end integration patterns.

- Familiarity with agile delivery or continuous delivery pipelines.

- Experience in full-stack SAP BTP projects involving CI/CD and DevOps practices.

- Understanding of security and identity services such as XSUAA, OAuth, and JWT practices.

Education Qualification :

PG/UG degree from a reputed university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
