Role : Senior Rust Developer
Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Senior Rust Developer with 5 - 9 years of software development experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Rust programming, production software development, testing, debugging, and working with large open-source codebases.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, testing, and maintaining reliable, high-performance software. The role requires a strong understanding of Rust fundamentals, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, concurrency, error handling, and performance optimization.
The candidate should also have working knowledge of Python for scripting, tooling, testing, automation, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and review Rust features based on defined technical specifications.
- Develop reliable, maintainable, and production-grade software using Rust.
- Work on performance-critical components and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Write clean, readable, scalable, and well-tested code.
- Build and maintain comprehensive test suites for new and existing functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Analyze existing codebases and contribute improvements to large open-source projects.
- Review technical designs, architecture, implementation approaches, and code changes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Use Python for scripting, testing, tooling, automation, validation, and development support.
- Work with Git for source control, branching, patch management, diffs, merges, and code reviews.
- Identify potential reliability, performance, and maintainability issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
