About the Role :

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer, you will be the key to identifying and resolving critical performance and stability challenges. This is a hands-on technical role focused on ensuring our applications are robust and scalable. You'll work on everything from tackling bot attacks to optimizing distributed systems and enhancing our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and Resolve : Diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks, application instability issues, and scalability challenges.

- Enhance Security : Provide technical solutions to combat bot attacks, application failures, and other security vulnerabilities.

- Optimize Performance : Collaborate with teams to optimize critical workflows that impact system performance.

- Improve Monitoring : Lead efforts to enhance infrastructure monitoring and alerting, with a focus on tools like Datadog.

- Develop Microservices : Build and maintain robust Ruby on Rails microservices and APIs.

- Ensure Resilience : Implement fault tolerance mechanisms, including auto-restart scripts and failover processes.

- Maintain Quality : Enforce code quality through diligent code reviews, testing, and promoting development best practices.

- Mentor : Guide and mentor junior developers and share knowledge to strengthen the team.

- Contribute to Features : Assist in new feature development while also resolving production issues.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.

- Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience with Sinatra.

- Proven experience working with microservices-based architectures.

- Familiarity with Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar messaging/streaming platforms.

- Hands-on experience with SOLR for search and AWS services (especially AWS SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure).

- Experience with security practices including bot mitigation (e.g., Cloudflare or similar).

- Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience working in agile development environments.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Prior experience in healthcare technology platforms is a plus.
