Job Title : Senior QA Engineer.
Location : Pune.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you would discover and implement gaps in automation framework and system-integration test cases for a modern cloud-scale SmartNIC and Networking infrastructure vendor.
Technical Requirements :
- 8+ years of experience.
- Experience with modern SmartNICs (pcie device and BITW modes) SoC.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (SDN, routing, L2/L3).
- Familiarity with SPDK/DPDK framework and how/why their role in SmartNICs.
- Understanding of Security, Storage and RDMA.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel's networking stack.
- System Integration Testing, right from tests' discovery, test-plan preparation and overall delivery of quality product.
- Automation infra development for plugging into CI.
- Programming Languages : C/python.
- Familiarity with some automation framework like pytest is desirable.
- Able to work with cross-geography team, build consensus across teams.
- Leadership qualities can identify tasks, assess priorities, in addition to executing them.
- Able to work in tight timelines.
Responsibilities :
- Very strong communication skills, active listening.
- Discover product requirements and propose System Integration Test plan.
- Able to justify/defend technical decisions/choices against peer reviews/criticism, but at the same time flexible in accepting objective feedback for improvements.
- Engage with the customer and take ownership of testing and quality delivery.
- Identify automation needs how the existing automation infra can be leveraged and if there are any missing pieces.
- Implement missing pieces of automation infra.
- Execute and Evolve System Integration Tests.
- Constantly drive for more effective automation and remain curious to explore ways to make the test infra (and the product) better.
- Show initiative, do not wait to be assigned tasks, find the tasks that need to be executed.
- Collaborate with multiple team-mates and also multiple engineers in customer's team for knowledge gathering and building consensus.
- Be prepared to collaborate and 'pull' information to make progress instead of waiting for the right know-how to become available.
- Able to deliver on tight timelines, demonstrate design foresight to accommodate requirement changes.
