Manual + Automation Test Engineer

Experience: 8+ yrs

Work Location: Pune ( Hybrid )

Work Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM (IST) / 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM (IST)

Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

- Hands-on experience of manual and automated testing major application(s) including product release and automation using Selenium

- Software application testing experience including test deliverables development using manual and automated testing

- Strong knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing (manual and automated testing)

- Experience with Selenium WebDriver for functional, regression, performance testing, sanity testing, smoke testing and/or performance test automation

- Experience with JMeter

- Experience of Selenium Java framework with strong hands-on with Java, JVM, relational databases and SQL

- Data analysis, data verification by SQL queries and problem-solving abilities

- Good understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language

- Experience with JIRA/Confluence and QTest Manager will be an advantage

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment with both on-shore and off-shore resources

- Strong technical aptitude, time management and organizational skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task day-to-day activities

Responsibilities:

- Both manual and automated testing

- Assist the product quality team in pivoting to a primarily automated testing

- Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently

- Automate functional tests whenever required including API testing using Post

- Manual testing will focus on utilizing expertise in business knowledge and system functionality via exploratory testing in order to find defects outside of the main use cases.

- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Quality Engineers in test plan creation & execution to ensure proper test coverage and rigor

- Serve as a test lead or point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards

- Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers

- Become a SME in the product domain

- Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts

- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices

- Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
