About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead / Senior QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts across web and API applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both manual and automation testing, along with proven experience mentoring teams, defining testing strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of software quality.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership :

- Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team in technical best practices and process improvements.

- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve QA workflows, standards, and testing strategies.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery and alignment with business goals.

Test Strategy & Planning :

- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for multiple projects.

- Define and manage test data requirements.

- Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, performance, and security aspects.

Automation Testing :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, and Page Object Model (POM).

- Create and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing.

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.

Manual Testing :

- Perform exploratory, usability, cross-browser, and responsive UI testing where automation is not applicable.

- Execute regression and sanity testing during releases.

Defect Management :

- Identify, log, and track defects to resolution using tools like JIRA and TestRail.

- Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and improve product stability.

Documentation :

- Prepare and maintain all QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, bug reports, and release notes.

Stakeholder Communication :

- Provide application demos and detailed testing status updates to stakeholders.

- Communicate risks, issues, and mitigation plans effectively to ensure transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 7 years of experience in QA (manual + automation).

- Hands-on experience with Cypress, Selenium, and POM frameworks.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Excellent knowledge of defect tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to lead QA teams and drive testing excellence.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in testing web-based and API-driven applications.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Certification in QA (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
