Job Title : Software Test Engineer (Manual Testing Windows Applications)

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with over 5 years of experience in manual testing of Windows-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing processes, test planning, and execution within an Agile development environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Windows-based software products by setting up and maintaining test environments, executing detailed test cases, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform hands-on manual testing of Windows-based software applications, ensuring functional and non functional requirements are met.

- Set up, configure, and maintain test environments including Windows client and server systems.

- Participate in the development of test plans, test cases, and test strategies in collaboration with cross functional teams.

- Execute test cases and record results clearly, identifying and reporting software defects in a structured and timely manner.

- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test reports and defect logs.

- Work closely with development teams during sprints to ensure proper test coverage and timely delivery.

- Estimate testing effort and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Install and configure application builds and assist with deployment activities as needed.

- Follow structured test methodologies with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Support continuous improvement by identifying testing process gaps and suggesting enhancements.

Qualifications :

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, particularly in Windows-based environments.

- Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect reporting.

- Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to validate backend data using queries.

- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Experience in installing and configuring software builds in Windows environments.

- Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.

Desirable Skills :

- ISTQB/ISEB certifications in software testing are a plus.

- Knowledge of Virtual Machines and tools such as VMware or VirtualBox.

- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including database validation and query execution.

- Basic understanding of IP networking, Windows domain environments, and Active Directory.

- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance best practices.
