Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our customer (a product company in Pune).

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling robust backend services that power our core product offerings.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps specialists, to translate complex business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.

By leveraging a microservices-based architecture, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing system reliability and performance, directly impacting the experience of our global user base and driving our business growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement scalable backend services using Python and Django to ensure high availability and seamless data processing for our end users.

- Design and maintain secure REST APIs that facilitate efficient communication between frontend applications and backend databases.

- Optimize complex SQL queries and manage PostgreSQL database schemas to improve application response times and data integrity.

- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes to streamline our infrastructure and ensure consistent environment parity.

- Automate testing and deployment pipelines through CI/CD workflows to accelerate feature delivery and maintain high code quality standards.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine technical specifications and ensure that architectural decisions align with long-term business objectives.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining production-grade applications using Python and the Django framework within a microservices architecture.

- Proficient in managing relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, with a strong focus on query optimization and performance tuning.

- Proven ability to deploy and manage cloud-native applications on AWS, utilizing containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices and version control using Git to manage complex codebases in a collaborative environment.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and mentor junior team members.

- Strong problem-solving mindset with the adaptability to thrive in a hybrid work environment based in Pune, balancing independent deep work with team-based collaboration.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 4 - 8 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
