Looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong AWS experience to join our distributed engineering team. This is a hands-on backend role for engineers who enjoy building scalable, cloud-native applications, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with global teams in an Agile environment.
You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance systems while contributing to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
- Work extensively with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM
- Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term, scalable fixes
- Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience :
- 6 to 9+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI preferred)
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have :
- Exposure to Kubernetes / Amazon EKS
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Prior experience working with US clients or global teams
