Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join one of our key projects based out of Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Python backend development (Django or equivalent frameworks) and possess a solid understanding of modern frontend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.

Youll play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable software solutions, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance applications in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Lead the architecture and design of complex backend systems using Python (Django or Flask) and RESTful APIs.

- Build intuitive, high-performance front-end interfaces using React, TypeScript, and related web technologies.

- Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and leverage containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deployment automation.

- Manage and optimize cloud-based environments (preferably AWS) for scalability and reliability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while improving system observability and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of professional software development experience with proven system design capabilities.

- Strong expertise in Python, with experience in Django, Flask, or similar frameworks.

- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating third-party services.

- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development workflows.

- Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

- Strong debugging skills and experience improving observability (logging, metrics, monitoring).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience building enterprise SaaS or B2B systems, including multi-tenancy, authentication (OAuth, SSO, SAML), and data partitioning.

- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, A/B testing frameworks, and analytics pipelines.

- Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.

- Experience contributing to open-source projects or working with the Open edX ecosystem.

- Demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship in previous roles.
