Senior Python Developer - AWS Serverless Architecture

Location : Exclusively Gurgaon (hybrid model : 2-3 days/week in office).

About the Role :

We are looking for highly skilled Senior Python Developers with strong expertise in AWS Serverless architecture.

You will work on high-performance, scalable backend systems and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with strong Python fundamentals and practical experience with AWS services.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development (Python) :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.

- Apply advanced Python concepts including OOPs, decorators, custom iterators, context managers, and performance-oriented programming.

- Build robust APIs and microservices following best practices and clean coding guidelines.

AWS Serverless Architecture :

- Develop and deploy serverless applications using AWS services such as : Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudFront, S3

- Design event-driven workflows using serverless messaging patterns.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging (CloudWatch), and versioned deployments.

Database & MongoDB :

- Write, optimize, and debug MongoDB queries including indexing, aggregation pipelines, grouping, sorting, filtering.

- Troubleshoot complex DB interactions within the Python codebase.

- Ensure database performance, consistency, and reliability.

API Development :

- Build high-performance REST APIs using Python frameworks.

- Experience with FastAPI (especially as a Lambda wrapper) is a significant plus.

- Ensure API security, authentication/authorization, throttling, and request validation.

Code Quality & Collaboration :

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.

- Define and enforce coding standards, documentation, and testing practices.

- Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams for seamless delivery.

Core Skills Required :

Must Have :

- Strong Python fundamentals

- Expertise in AWS serverless services

- Strong MongoDB debugging/querying skills

- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture

Good to Have :

- Experience with FastAPI

- Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

- Understanding of asynchronous programming (async/await)

- Knowledge of MongoDB performance tuning

Technical Skill Weighting :

- Python (Core + Advanced) - Highest Priority

- AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront) - Critical

- MongoDB - Important for troubleshooting & performance tuning

Soft Skills :
