Senior Python Backend Developer

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development.

Youll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and modern frameworks.

- Build scalable microservices architectures leveraging Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Azure Cloud.

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external applications.

- Work on CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.

- Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring reliability and system uptime.

- Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and security throughout the development lifecycle.

Technical Skills (Mandatory) :

Languages :

- Python (advanced proficiency)

Frameworks :

- Flask, FastAPI, or Django

Cloud Platforms :

- Microsoft Azure (with hands-on experience in AKS)

Containerization :

- Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)

Databases :

- SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) & NoSQL (MongoDB/CosmosDB)

API Development :

- RESTful services, authentication & authorization mechanisms

DevOps & CI/CD :

- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

Architecture :

- Microservices, event-driven systems

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor)

- Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

- Knowledge of cloud security best practices

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and system design
