Key Responsibilities :
1. Product Strategy & Vision (Macro Leadership) :
- Define the product philosophy, strategy, and roadmap aligned to Karmagurus vision.
- Translate spiritual concepts (karma, jyotish, seva, self-growth) into digitally actionable systems.
- Develop the framework for : scoring logic, inputs, user actions, and feedback loops.
- Design AI-assisted spiritual journeys personalization, nudge systems, and gamification.
- Establish product principles : ethics, transparency, simplicity, and authenticity.
2. End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management :
- Define MVP features, modules, milestones, and success metrics.
- Prepare business and functional PRDs (Product Requirement Documents).
- Collaborate with UX/UI and engineering for flows, wireframes, and data schemas.
- Prioritize based on impact vs. effort, token costs, and scalability.
- Maintain the product backlog, sprint cycles, and release roadmap.
3. Tech & AI Integration Readiness :
- Work with CTO to finalize tech stack (app, backend, databases, analytics, and infra).
- Define how AI is embedded : Mr. Bhagwan chatbot, astrology models, karmic analytics.
- Document AI use cases, token budgets, data structures, and integration touchpoints.
- Plan the backend logic for astrology engines (Swiss Ephemeris, matching algorithms).
- Review data pipelines, ensuring security, privacy, and compliance with Indian laws (IT Act, CSR donation norms).
4. Vendor & Partner Management :
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors/agencies for :
1. App development (Flutter / React Native)
2. Backend (Node.js, Python, Frappe/ERPNext stack)
3. UI/UX and brand design
4. Cloud & DevOps (AWS, Docker, Tailscale, Traefik)
5. Data, analytics, and QA
- Define SLAs, NDAs, MSAs, and ensure deliverable adherence.
- Maintain a vendor scorecard (cost, quality, timeliness, ownership).
- Implement maker-checker flows for vendor approvals and releases.
- Conduct daily/weekly syncs with vendors and internal stakeholders.
5. Systems, Process & Tooling Setup :
- Establish standard operating systems for :
1. Product management (Jira / Linear / Notion)
2. Documentation (Confluence / Notion)
3. Version control (GitHub)
4. QA and issue tracking (TestRail / Bugherd)
5. Analytics (Mixpanel, GA4, Firebase)
6. Experiment management (A/B testing tools)
- Build weekly reporting structure (roadmap progress, experiment learnings, KPI dashboards).
- Create playbooks for PRDs, sprints, user testing, and product reviews.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership :
- Work closely with :
1. Engineering : define sprint goals, APIs, dependencies.
2. Design : craft minimal, culturally resonant UX/UI aligned with Hindu symbolism & modern design.
3. Marketing : product positioning, app store optimization, launch communication.
4. Content & Community : align rituals, challenges, and stories to app engagement flows.
5. Finance & NGO Partnerships : integrate donation and impact verification systems.
- Lead internal stand-ups and act as the single point of product truth.
7. Product Analytics, Data & Insights
- Define event schema, funnels, and behavioral metrics (AARRR model).
- Set up dashboards for activation, retention, engagement, and monetization.
- Conduct user research, surveys, and A/B testing; analyze data to inform iterations.
- Translate insights into decisions, not reports every week.
- Measure impact of features (Karma Score engagement, streaks, donations, AI sessions).
8. Growth, Monetization & Retention :
- Design subscription tiers (Free / Premium / Elite) with Astro-Stars as digital currency.
- Plan introductory offers, streak rewards, trials, and referral programs.
- Build habit-forming loops.
- Optimize CRM, push notifications, in-app messages, and email flows.
- Collaborate with marketing to test positioning, content hooks, and pricing models.
9. Team Building & People Enablement :
- Hire and mentor 2 to 3 junior PMs, data analysts, and UX researchers as the product scales.
- Build cross-functional collaboration culture rooted in documentation and accountability.
- Develop RACI charts for all product activities.
- Conduct weekly OKR reviews, bi-weekly 1 :1s, and quarterly performance reviews.
10. Operations & Compliance :
- Collaborate with COO for NGO partnerships, CSR compliance, and transaction transparency.
- Ensure adherence to ethical & legal guidelines :
1. No manipulative spiritual claims
2. No predictive dependency loops
3. Transparent donation tracking
4. Proper use of birth details (PII security)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for all third-party data and payment integrations.
11. Financial Planning & Product P&L :
- Participate in revenue model creation and pricing simulation.
- Track feature-level cost-benefit ratios (AI token costs, server usage, retention ROI).
- Contribute to investor decks with growth forecasts, CAC/LTV, and monetization roadmap.
12. Product Governance & Ethics :
- Be the guardian of Karmagurus ethical faith-tech philosophy :
1. No fear-mongering or fatalistic messaging.
2. Encourage agency and positive action.
3. Clear disclaimers on AI or astrological guidance.
4. Culturally respectful tone across languages.
- Work with legal to design user consent flows, disclaimers, and content moderation.
