We are seeking a seasoned Senior Power Platform & BI Governance Manager to oversee and govern our global Power BI ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a large-scale enterprise environment, managing a platform with over 40,000 Power BI licenses.

With a robust background in Power BI development and a strategic understanding of Microsoft Fabric, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing a global governance framework, managing platform health, and driving the adoption of best practices across multiple countries and business units. This role requires a professional willing to work European time zones to effectively collaborate with our global team.

Key Responsibilities :

Global Governance & Strategy :

- Develop, enforce, and evolve a global BI governance strategy, policies, and procedures.

- Manage the Power BI platform at scale, including tenant settings, capacity, and licensing for a user base exceeding 40,000.

- Establish and monitor tenant and environment-level Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to ensure global data security and compliance.

- Configure, deploy, and manage elements of the BI governance framework across diverse geographical regions.

Platform Management & Oversight :

- Monitor, analyze, and report on Power BI resource usage, performance, and user access on a global scale.

- Manage users, workspaces, and data assets within the Power BI environment, ensuring optimal performance and cost-management.

- Oversee the establishment and management of Microsoft Dataverse environments as part of a cohesive data strategy.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Cultural Coordination :

- Collaborate with IT, security, and business units across multiple countries to align the BI governance strategy with organizational goals.

- Provide expert support, guidance, and training for Power BI users and stakeholders worldwide.

- Act as the central point of coordination for Power BI initiatives, fostering a consistent and well-functioning data culture across different regions.

Solution Development & Innovation :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards to inform strategic business decisions.

- Transform raw data into meaningful and actionable insights.

- Understand and integrate Microsoft Fabric capabilities to enhance data integration, engineering, and real-time analytics.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience in a BI governance or administration role within a large enterprise, specifically managing a Power BI environment with 40,000+ licenses.

- Demonstrable experience working in a global capacity, coordinating with teams and stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures.

- Strong familiarity with Power BI and governance practices in a large-scale BI environment.

- Excellent understanding of data governance, data management, and security principles.

- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

- Willingness to work core European business hours to support a global team.

Preferred Skills :

- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform administration.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and environment strategies.

- Proficiency in establishing and managing Microsoft Dataverse environments.

- Proven experience as a Power BI developer, creating enterprise-level data-driven solutions and interactive dashboards.

- Expertise in data modeling, analysis, and visualization.

- Basic experience with or understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including its integration and analytics capabilities.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

- 10+ years of proven, hands-on experience with Power BI development and platform governance at an enterprise scale.

- Experience with data preparation, data warehousing projects, and familiarity with the broader Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).

Certifications :

- Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certifications (e.g., PL-300, PL-500) are highly desirable.
