Senior Power BI Developer - Dashboard Design

Day to Day Operations :

- Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of On Premise Power BI

- Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications

- Be experienced in tools and systems on MS SQL Server including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX

- Be able to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions

- Create functional reporting

- Have knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, and more

- Should be able to write DAX with complex logic

- Trouble shooting skills

- Design conceptual and logical data models and data flowcharts.

Safety, Quality & Environment :

- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies,

procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative

compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.

- Motivate ones own team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives,

programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

Policies, Processes & Procedures :

- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

MIS & Reports :

- Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to department to meet INJAZATs and the

departmental requirements, policies and standards.

- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Job-Specific Skills :

- Strong experience with writing SQL in relational database

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience with data visualization tools

- Agile development methodology experience

- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills

- Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights

- Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using On Premise Power BI

- Analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making

- Able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks

- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis

- Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI

- Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations

- Conduct data warehouse development

- Perform SQL querying for best results

- Use filters and graphs for a better understanding of the data

- Define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes

- Make technical changes to existing BI systems in order to enhance their functioning
