Job Title : Senior OpenShift Engineer/SRE

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Edge OpenShift Engineer to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our on-premise Red Hat OpenShift platforms at critical edge locations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a passion for automation, observability, and platform reliability. You will leverage your expertise in OpenShift, virtualization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver a robust and scalable container ecosystem that powers our next-generation applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Platform Engineering : Design, build, and deploy Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and OpenShift Virtualization (OSV) clusters at on-premise Edge locations.

- Administration & Support : Perform day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support for the OpenShift ecosystem, including upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

- Automation : Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Bash/Python to automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and management.

- CI/CD Implementation : Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Tekton to enable seamless application and infrastructure deployments.

- Capacity & Tenant Management : Manage cluster capacity, including tenant provisioning, resource allocation, and isolation to ensure platform stability and performance.

- Troubleshooting : Serve as a Level 2 (L2) support engineer, troubleshooting complex platform issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and automation playbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- A minimum of 6 years of overall IT infrastructure experience, with at least 4 years of hands-on, dedicated experience in building and administering Red Hat OpenShift platforms.

- Proven expertise in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), OpenShift Virtualization (OSV), and core Kubernetes concepts.

- Strong, hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Ansible, Terraform, and shell scripting (Bash).

- Solid programming/scripting skills in Python.

- Direct experience with Tekton for creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.

- In-depth understanding of container technologies (Docker, Podman), networking, and storage configuration within a cluster environment.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.

- Familiarity with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM).

- Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere/ESX.

- Experience with enterprise storage solutions, particularly NetApp.

- Familiarity with Node.js.

- Proficiency in Linux system administration and clustering.
