Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior OpenShift Engineer to join our team in Pune. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex OpenShift clusters.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in container orchestration, major cloud platforms, and modern DevOps methodologies. You will be crucial in optimizing infrastructure performance, ensuring robust system security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable project requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- OpenShift & Kubernetes Management : Design, implement, and manage complex OpenShift clusters and underlying Kubernetes environments. This includes deployment, scaling, security configuration, and ongoing maintenance.

- Infrastructure Optimization : Daily tasks include actively troubleshooting infrastructure issues and optimizing system performance to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability for all containerized applications.

- Security & Compliance : Ensure robust system security across the OpenShift environment, implementing best practices for access control, network policies, and vulnerability management.

- DevOps & Automation : Drive the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices using tools like CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and configuration management (Ansible).

- Scripting & Tooling : Utilize strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell) to automate infrastructure tasks, deployments, and operational workflows.

- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with cross-functional development, security, and operations teams to align infrastructure capabilities with project requirements and overall business goals.

Qualifications :

- Core Expertise : Deep expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies.

- Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- DevOps Proficiency : Proficiency in DevOps practices and related tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible).

- Scripting Skills : Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Soft Skills : Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Certifications : Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or relevant Kubernetes/Cloud certifications.
