Job Summary :
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior OpenShift Administrator / Platform Engineer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in OpenShift Administration, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub, and Linux/Windows platforms.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in legacy-to-modern application transformation, containerization, platform engineering, and enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
OpenShift & Kubernetes Administration :
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise OpenShift environments across development, testing, and production.
- Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes platforms.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Implement and manage container orchestration best practices and platform security controls.
Legacy to Modernization Initiatives :
- Lead application modernization and migration programs from legacy platforms to containerized environments.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to onboard workloads onto OpenShift.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and cloud-native architectures.
- Support modernization strategies, container adoption, and platform transformation initiatives.
CI/CD & DevOps Enablement :
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments.
- Integrate OpenShift with enterprise DevOps toolchains.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
- Support GitOps methodologies and infrastructure automation initiatives.
GitHub Administration :
- Manage GitHub repositories, branching strategies, access controls, and repository governance.
- Support development teams in source code management and deployment workflows.
- Implement GitHub best practices and security standards.
Linux & Windows Administration :
- Administer Linux and Windows server environments supporting OpenShift workloads.
- Perform OS upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform-related issues across hybrid environments.
Security & Compliance :
- Implement RBAC, secrets management, certificate management, and security controls.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and governance requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Documentation & Operational Excellence :
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Provide Level 3 support and guidance for platform-related incidents and escalations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering best practices.
Mandatory Skills :
- 10+ years of overall IT Infrastructure / Platform Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience in OpenShift Administration (Mandatory)
- Experience in Legacy to Modern Platform Transformation
- Kubernetes Administration
- CI/CD Pipeline Implementation
- GitHub Administration and GitOps
- Linux Administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- Windows Server Administration
- Containerization technologies (Docker/Podman)
- Scripting and Automation (Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Preferred Skills :
- OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) upgrades and cluster management
- ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
- Ansible, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
Educational Qualification :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
