Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help scale, secure, and support Rapid7's global network infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role focused on operational excellence, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

You will work with a collaborative team to ensure our networks remain secure, resilient, and ready for growth.

Responsibilities :

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, WLAN).

- Support and maintain network security controls including Palo Alto firewalls, and secure remote access.

- Perform daily monitoring and incident response to ensure availability and performance.

- Implement infrastructure changes and upgrades in line with change management processes.

- Automate repeatable tasks using scripting (Python, Golang) or frameworks.

- Partner with InfoSec, IT, and Cloud teams to deliver secure, integrated solutions.

- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Participate in on-call rotation/escalation for critical incidents.

- Support connectivity and security in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Stay current with emerging networking and security technologies.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking (routing, switching, VPNs).

- 3+ years working with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.

- Strong knowledge of network security standards, compliance, and best practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and prioritization skills.

- Coding skills in Python or Golang, with an automation-first approach.

- Certifications : CCNA, CCNP (others like OSCP a plus).

Nice to Have :

- Knowledge of IAM and Zero Trust frameworks.

- Familiarity with AI-driven networking and security tools.

- Experience with vulnerability assessment or penetration testing tools.
