Senior .Net Software Developer - Trading Systems

Description :

- SEI Trust 3000 Accounting System

- Downstream financial and reporting systems

- External vendor file feeds and interfaces

This migration requires new integration architectures, data workflows, batch processes, and reporting solutions, which will be designed, developed, and supported by the offshore development team.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development & Integration :

- Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications and services supporting trading and accounting workflows

- Build robust API integrations between Charles River SaaS and downstream systems using Swagger / OpenAPI standards

- Develop and support file-based integrations involving MFS transmissions and vendor data feeds

- Implement clean, scalable, and secure integration frameworks aligned with enterprise standards

- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of integration services

SaaS Cloud Migration Responsibilities :

- Participate actively in the migration of Charles River trading system from on-prem to SaaS cloud

- Analyze existing on-prem workflows and re-engineer them for SaaS compatibility

- Support On-Prem SQL Server to SaaS/cloud database migration activities

- Work on application modernization and refactoring to align with cloud-native patterns

- Assist in cutover planning, parallel runs, validation, and post-migration stabilization

Data & Reporting :

- Work with daily financial data feeds, including :

a. Accounts

b. Positions

c. Transactions

d. Securities

e. Cash

f. Pricing data

- Migrate and enhance SSIS workflows supporting batch processing and data movement

- Migrate and support SSRS reports used by business and operations teams

- Develop new Power BI dashboards and reports for enhanced analytics and business insights

Automation, Scheduling & Scripting :

- Migrate and maintain Autosys JIL scripts and related batch jobs

- Support Tidal Job Automation systems for enterprise batch scheduling

- Develop PowerShell 6.0 scripts for :

a. Automation

b. Monitoring

c. Operational support

d. Deployment tasks

- Manage MFS file transmission jobs and ensure data delivery SLAs are met

Cloud, DevOps & Deployment :

- Support Azure cloud deployments, including application and infrastructure components

- Use Ansible for configuration management and automated deployments

- Apply Pet & Cattle deployment strategies for scalable and resilient systems

- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth CI/CD and release processes

- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards

Production Support & Troubleshooting :

- Provide L2/L3 support for production issues related to trading, accounting, and reporting systems

- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes

- Monitor system health and proactively address performance and stability issues

- Participate in incident management, problem management, and change management processes

Compliance & Clean Room Development :

- Adhere strictly to clean room development practices, expected to be mandatory from May 2026

- Ensure code quality, documentation, and audit readiness

- Follow regulatory and compliance requirements typical of financial services environments

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development and support

- Strong proficiency in :

- C#.NET, VB.NET, VS.NET

- API development and integrations (Swagger/OpenAPI)

- Proven experience working with Trading Systems, preferably :

- Charles River

- Bloomberg or similar platforms

- Strong experience in Asset Management / Investment Management domain

- Hands-on experience with migration projects (On-Prem to SaaS / Cloud)

- In-depth knowledge of investment management data structures and daily feeds

- Strong experience with SQL Server databases

- Experience with PowerShell 6.0 scripting

- Experience with job schedulers like Autosys and Tidal

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with SEI Trust 3000 and SEI SWP systems

- Experience with SSIS & SSRS migration

- Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards

- Hands-on exposure to Azure Cloud services

- Experience with Ansible

- Knowledge of Pet & Cattle deployment models

- Prior exposure to clean room development environments
