Senior MS Dynamics 365 Developer

Job Description :

The Senior Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) Developer is a key technical role responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and optimizing enterprise solutions within Microsofts Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform.

The Senior D365 FO Developer will handle a mix of technical design, development, and system enhancement activities on a daily basis.

Core responsibilities include :

Solution Design & Customization :

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions using X++ and .NET.

- Customize and extend standard D365 FO functionalities using extensions and event handlers to ensure future upgrade compatibility.

- Develop and maintain forms, classes, tables, data entities, and workflows aligned with functional needs.

System Integration & Data Management :

- Design, implement, and manage integrations between D365 FO and external systems using DMF, OData, and REST APIs.

- Work closely with integration architects and functional consultants to ensure smooth data flow and synchronization.

- Manage import/export processes and develop custom entities or data pipelines as needed.

Performance Optimization & Debugging :

- Perform in-depth debugging to identify and resolve issues related to application logic, data processing, or integration.

- Monitor system performance, optimize SQL queries, and implement coding best practices for improved efficiency.

- Conduct root-cause analyses and propose preventive measures to ensure long-term stability.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement security roles, privileges, and access controls to protect sensitive business data.

- Ensure adherence to organizational and Microsoft best practices regarding data privacy, audit trails, and system governance.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Partner with business analysts, functional consultants, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery of technical components.

- Document all customizations, configurations, and code to support maintenance and knowledge transfer.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing accurate progress updates and technical insights.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation :

- Stay updated with the latest D365 FO releases, Azure updates, and Microsoft technologies.

- Proactively recommend enhancements, automation opportunities, and performance improvements.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews, ensuring consistent adherence to coding

standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience as a D365 FO (Finance and Operations) developer.

- Strong expertise in X++, .NET Framework, and object-oriented programming.

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, or related cloud services.

- Proven experience with Data Management Framework (DMF), OData, and REST APIs.

- Deep knowledge of D365 FO architecture, security frameworks, and performance tuning.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of translating business requirements into technical deliverables.
