Role Summary :

Contiem is seeking a high-caliber Senior MarkLogic Developer to lead the development, optimization, and management of our MarkLogic database and RSuite CMS infrastructure. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance and extension of mission-critical content management systems, ensuring seamless publishing and content creation workflows.

You will leverage a deep technical stack involving XQuery, XPath, and Core Java to build sophisticated backend processing and web service interactions. The ideal candidate is a "Problem-Solver" with a decade of experience in handling disparate global system integrations and a proven track record of tuning high-scale MarkLogic environments for peak performance. You will act as a technical lead, driving future application development and ensuring the stability of our multi-tier JBoss and XML-based ecosystem.

Responsibilities :

- MarkLogic & RSuite Administration : Develop, support, and manage the MarkLogic and RSuite CMS environments, including the coordination of complex upgrades, patches, and high-level troubleshooting.

- Feature Engineering : Design and implement advanced features, backend processing logic, and automated workflows within RSuite per rigorous business requirements.

- Database Optimization : Conduct deep-dive analysis, monitoring, and performance tuning of the MarkLogic environment to ensure sub-second query latency and high availability.

- Integration Excellence : Support the seamless integration of metadata and content across disparate internal and global systems, ensuring data consistency and structural integrity.

- Advanced XML Development : Develop and maintain sophisticated XSLTs, DTDs, and XSDs to govern content structures and transformations for various publishing outputs.

- Service Architecture : Design and deploy robust SOAP and RESTful web services to facilitate interactions between the MarkLogic server and external applications.

- Infrastructure Evolution : Lead the design and development of future-state applications built on top of the MarkLogic infrastructure.

- Middleware Management : Utilize XCC (MarkLogic Content Connector) and MarkLogic Content Processing Framework (MLCP) for high-speed data ingestion and manipulation.

- Agile Governance : Operate independently within an Agile methodology, identifying systemic issues and optimizing technical processes to enhance team velocity.

- Global Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams and global clients to resolve complex architectural challenges with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Technical Requirements :

- MarkLogic Mastery : 10+ years of proven experience with MarkLogic (v8 and above), including expert proficiency in XPath and XQuery.

- Java Stack : Strong hands-on experience in Core Java / J2EE and working within the JBoss Enterprise Application Server environment.

- XML Standards : Advanced skills in XSLT, DTD, and XSD development, specifically within a content-centric context.

- Middleware & Tooling : Hands-on experience with XCC and MLCP for bulk data operations.

- IDE & Server Proficiency : Expert usage of JBoss Developer Studio (or Eclipse-based IDEs) and JBoss SOA-P (v4/v5).

- Web Services : Proven track record in developing secure REST and SOAP endpoints for NoSQL database interactions.
