Job Description

Role : Senior Manager, Technology & Business Systems

Location : Mohali (Chandigarh Tricity), Punjab, India | On-site | Full-time

Schedule : U.S. Pacific business hours (night shift, India time)

About the role :

You will own the technology that runs a group of fast-growing U.S. home-services and solar brands : Elevation Energy Solutions, Grid Association, and Chief Electric. You start with a small team (one full-stack developer and one virtual assistant) and build it into a 6 - 8 person technology team over the next 12 - 24 months. You will build the systems, the middleware, the phone stack, the data layer, and the team - from the ground up.

This is a player-coach role. You write code, read code, build reports, wire integrations, document systems, and map processes yourself, while managing the people who do the same. You move fast, you communicate clearly, and you ship.

Your first 6 - 8 months center on one thing : becoming the company's ServiceTitan expert. Learn it end to end, build it out for Chief Electric, document every workflow, build the reporting, fix what breaks, and use AI to run it faster. After that, the job widens into everything below.

What you will own :

1. ServiceTitan (primary focus, months 1 - 8) :

- Own ServiceTitan setup, configuration, and go-live for Chief Electric.

- Build and document every workflow : call booking, dispatch, pricebook, memberships, invoicing, payments, marketing attribution, reporting.

- Build the reporting layer : dashboards for sales, ops, marketing, and finance. Pull the numbers leadership needs weekly.

- Own integrations in and out of ServiceTitan (phone, CRM, marketing, accounting, dialer).

- Be the internal expert : train staff, write SOPs, fix issues, manage the vendor relationship.

2. Atlas, custom software, and middleware :

- Own the roadmap for Atlas, the company's internally built operating system (CRM and operations platform).

- Design and build the company middleware : the integration layer that connects ServiceTitan, Atlas, the dialer, phone system, marketing platforms, and accounting into one flow of data.

- Manage the full-stack developer : set priorities, review code, run sprints, ship on schedule.

- Scope, staff, and deliver new builds as they come : dialers, mobile apps, integrations, internal tools, automations.

- Set up testing and release processes so nothing goes live broken. Build a QA function as the team grows.

- Build with AI tools every week (Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, Replit, Lovable, or similar).

3. Voice, telephony, and communications :

- Own the company phone and messaging stack : VoIP, SMS, call routing, call recording, IVR, and number management.

- Build and manage on programmable telephony platforms such as Twilio, Telnyx, or similar; connect them to the CRM, the dialer, and ServiceTitan.

- Bring call, text, and lead data into one place so every conversation is tracked and reportable.

4. Software stack and security :

- Own every software tool the company pays for : who uses it, what it costs, how it connects, when to replace it.

- Manage user access, roles, and permissions across all three brands.

- Set and enforce baseline cybersecurity : MFA, access reviews, offboarding, data handling, backups.

- Manage vendor contracts, renewals, and software spend.

5. Process, data, and documentation :

- Map new business processes with department heads and turn them into systems and flows.

- Own company documentation : SOPs, system maps, data dictionaries, runbooks.

- Tie marketing, inbound, and outbound lead flows into the CRM and reporting so every lead is tracked from first touch to sale.

- Plan and build the company data layer : a central reporting database / data lake fed by ServiceTitan, Atlas, the dialer, telephony, marketing platforms, and accounting.

6. Team :

- Manage the full-stack developer and VA today. Hire and lead a team of 6 - 8 (developers, QA, systems/integration, data) as the company grows.

- Set weekly targets, run standups, review work, and hold the team to a high output standard.

- Train the team on AI-assisted development and documentation.

Requirements :

- 7+ years in software development, systems implementation, or business systems, with 2+ years leading a small team.

- You write and read code. Comfortable in at least one modern stack (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL, or similar) and able to review a developer's pull request. Candidates who cannot code will not be considered.

- You build with AI tools daily. Working experience with several of : Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, Replit, Lovable, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

- You have implemented or administered a field service management or CRM platform (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, Jobber, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar).

- You have built or managed integrations and middleware between business systems : APIs, webhooks, and either middleware tools (Zapier, Make, n8n) or custom services.

- You understand VoIP and programmable telephony. Hands-on with Twilio, Telnyx, or a comparable platform.

- You are business-savvy. You understand the KPIs a home-services company runs on (cost per lead, booking rate, close rate, average ticket, revenue per tech, CAC) and can build reporting around them.

- Strong SQL and reporting skills. You have built dashboards and pulled operational reports from live business systems.

- You have written technical documentation and process flows that non-technical staff could follow.

- You have managed a team and pushed it to deliver. Hands-on every day; you know exactly what your team is working on.

- You move quickly, communicate clearly in writing and on calls, and finish what you start.

- Fluent written and spoken English. Able to work full U.S. Pacific hours.

Strongly preferred :

- Hands-on ServiceTitan experience (admin, implementation, or reporting).

- Experience inside a home-services company (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, solar, roofing, garage doors) or a company that sells to them.

- Experience with call-center or outbound sales operations : dialers, lead routing, CRM workflows, inbound/outbound pipelines.

- Has connected marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile, call tracking) into a CRM for attribution.

- Has built or contributed to a data warehouse or data lake (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, Redshift) with a BI tool on top (Looker, Power BI, Metabase, Tableau).

Nice to have :

- Service design background : mapping customer and employee journeys and redesigning the process before building the system.

- Cybersecurity or IT administration experience (Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 admin, identity and access management).

- Mobile app development experience.

- Experience managing offshore or distributed teams.

How success is measured :

- ServiceTitan live for Chief Electric on schedule, with documented workflows and working reports.

- Atlas roadmap and middleware shipped on time; defects caught in testing, not in production.

- Phone, text, and lead data flowing into one tracked, reportable system.

- Every software tool has an owner, a cost, and a documented purpose. Access is clean across all brands.

- Team hired, trained, and delivering at a high standard.

Who you are :

A builder who can also lead. High energy, fast-moving, and hands-on. You would rather learn a system inside out than delegate it. You document as you go. You use AI to move faster than anyone around you. You are easy to work with and clear when you communicate. You want to join a company early, build the technology function from the ground up, and grow a large team under you.
