Role/Job Title : Python + Gen AI Lead (7+ Years)

Location : BLR/HYD/CHENNAI/PUNE

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Lead with deep experience building Generative AI applications, particularly using Azure OpenAI, to join our technology team. The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering expertise, hands-on experience with LLM-based solution development, and the ability to design, architect, and deploy AI-driven applications at scale.

This role involves working closely with architects, product owners, and cross- functional teams to deliver innovative GenAI capabilities aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

AI/LLM Development :

- Design, develop, and optimize GenAI-powered applications using Azure OpenAI (GPT models, embeddings, RAG pipelines, function calling, agents, etc.).

- Implement LLM operations including prompt engineering, fine- tuning, vectorization, and evaluation pipelines.

- Build and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows using Azure Cognitive Search or other vector databases.

Backend Engineering :

- Develop robust, scalable backend services in Python (FastAPI, Flask).

- Build APIs, microservices, and data pipelines supporting GenAI solutions.

- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources (databases, PDFs, documents, APIs).

Cloud & MLOps :

- Deploy end- to- end AI solutions on Azure, leveraging services such as :

1. Azure OpenAI

2. Azure Cognitive Search

3. Azure ML

4. Azure Functions

5. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

6. Azure Data Lake / Storage

- Implement CI/CD, model deployment workflows, and monitoring.

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work closely with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.

- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.

- Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.

- Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and performance of GenAI applications.

Required Qualifications :

- 7+ years of hands- on Python development experience.

- Strong expertise in building applications using :

1. Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django)

2. Azure OpenAI (ChatGPT, GPT models)

3. LLM-based application development

4. Vector databases (e.g., Azure Search, Pinecone, ChromaDB)

- Solid experience with :

1. Prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings

2. NLP frameworks (Hugging Face, Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex)

3. RESTful API development

4. Cloud-native architectures on Azure

- Strong understanding of security, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and data governance.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience fine- tuning or customizing LLMs.

- Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

- Experience with data engineering workflows using SQL, ETL pipelines.

- Background in deploying enterprise-grade AI applications.

- Knowledge of MLOps best practices.
