Senior Java Software Engineer - Spring/Hibernate

Job Title : Senior Java Developer

Location : Chennai (Initially Remote ? Later Hybrid)

About the Role :

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and optimize backend systems with strong knowledge of multithreading, collections,

and JMS.

- Work extensively with Apache Camel for integration and messaging solutions.

- Develop and maintain Java Web Technologies (JSP, JSON/XML, XSLT, XSD, XQuery).

- Deploy and manage applications on JBOSS, Tomcat, and Apache HTTP servers.

- Work with Oracle, SAP HANA, and SQL databases for efficient data processing.

- Integrate with middleware systems such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Solace.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage builds and deployments using Maven, Docker,

Azure DevOps.

- Write and execute shell scripts on Linux for system-level tasks.

- Manage source control and versioning with Git & SVN.

- Ensure secure, scalable, and optimized applications aligned with banking IT standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 5+ years of development experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate.

- Solid experience in multithreading, collections, JMS.

- Hands-on with JSP, JSON/XML, XSLT, XSD, XQuery.

- Good exposure to Oracle, SAP HANA, SQL.

- Proficiency in JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP servers.

- Experience with middleware messaging platforms (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Solace).

- Strong command over Linux (shell scripting) and Windows.

- Familiarity with Maven, Git, SVN, Docker, Azure DevOps.

- Prior experience working in Banking IT domain (preferred).

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
