Sr. Java Software Engineer II

Experience : 9 13 Years, Location : Hybrid (2 days onsite) Bangalore or Chennai Duration : 3-Month Contract-to-Hire (CTH)

Role Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Java Software Engineer II to lead the development of high-performance, cloud-native applications. This role requires a unique blend of deep Java expertise, MuleSoft integration experience, and advanced AWS cloud engineering skills. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing serverless solutions, managing complex payment processor integrations, and overseeing DevOps activities within the AWS ecosystem. As a senior technical lead, you will drive the creation and upgrading of AWS databases, manage infrastructure via CloudFormation, and optimize messaging workflows using Apache Camel. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in payment web services and a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise-grade software.

Responsibilities :

- Cloud-Native Development : Architect and implement serverless applications using AWS Lambda, ECS, and Step Functions to ensure high scalability and cost-efficiency.

- Integration Excellence : Leverage MuleSoft and Apache Camel to design and manage complex integration patterns and enterprise service bus (ESB) solutions.

- Payment Systems Engineering : Develop and integrate secure payment web services and processors to facilitate seamless financial transactions.

- AWS Infrastructure as Code : Design and maintain AWS CloudFormation Templates to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.

- Database Governance : Oversee the creation, configuration, and upgrading of AWS Databases (RDS/DynamoDB) to ensure data integrity and performance.

- Messaging & Orchestration : Implement robust asynchronous messaging systems using AWS SQS and orchestrate complex workflows with Step Functions.

- DevOps Leadership : Actively participate in AWS DevOps activities, managing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring automated, reliable software delivery.

- Open-Source Mastery : Utilize the Spring Boot ecosystem and Apache Camel to build modular, maintainable, and high-performance microservices.

- Storage Management : Architect scalable data storage solutions utilizing AWS S3 for structured and unstructured data assets.

- Technical Mentorship : Provide high-level technical guidance to junior engineers and conduct deep-dive code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.

Technical Requirements :

- Core Java Expertise : 10+ years of deep experience in Java Software Engineering and the Spring Boot framework.

- AWS Cloud Mastery : Hands-on expertise in ECS, S3, SQS, Step Functions, and Lambda.

- Integration Skills : Proven experience with MuleSoft and Apache Camel for enterprise-level system integrations.

- DevOps & IaC : Strong proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and managing DevOps lifecycles within the cloud.

- Payment Domain : Functional knowledge of payment processors and the integration of financial web services.

- Database Management : Experience in implementing and upgrading cloud-resident databases.

Preferred Skills :

- Security Literacy : Deep understanding of PCI-DSS standards and secure coding practices for payment-related systems.

- Microservices Design : Expertise in designing resilient microservices with circuit breakers and service discovery.
