Senior IBM DB2 DBA Expert - Database Performance Tuning

Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior IBM DB2 DBA (UDB) professional to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DB2 administration, high availability configurations, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and administer IBM DB2 (UDB) databases in production and non-production environments

- Configure and support HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery)

- Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization

- Handle database backup, recovery, patching, and upgrades

- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

- Ensure database security, availability, and reliability

- Support AWS RDS database environments

- Create and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in IBM DB2 DBA administration

- Hands-on experience with HADR setup and troubleshooting

- Expertise in performance tuning and database optimization

- Experience with Linux/Unix environments

- Knowledge of Shell/Python scripting

- Experience with AWS RDS is preferred

Preferred Qualifications :

- Good communication and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Exposure to enterprise production support environments
