Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hybrid Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade hybrid cloud solutions spanning Microsoft Azure, VMware, and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership and architectural design skills to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Define and deliver end-to-end hybrid cloud architectures integrating Azure IaaS/PaaS, VMware, and on-prem environments.

- Translate business requirements into scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized technical designs.

- Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, and cloud adoption initiatives.

Implementation & Delivery :

- Drive deployment of cloud and hybrid solutions including compute, storage, networking, and security components.

- Oversee migration of legacy workloads to cloud/hybrid platforms ensuring minimal downtime.

- Establish governance, compliance, and security frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide architectural direction to project teams, developers, and administrators.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on networking, backup, monitoring, and security integrations.

- Mentor technical teams and provide knowledge transfer sessions on emerging technologies.

Operations & Optimization :

- Establish monitoring, alerting, and automation frameworks to ensure operational efficiency.

- Continuously assess hybrid environments to recommend performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability improvements.

- Drive adoption of best practices, reference architectures, and reusable templates.

Stakeholder Engagement :

- Engage with business leaders, security teams, and enterprise architects to align cloud initiatives with organizational strategy.

- Present architectural solutions, technical roadmaps, and adoption strategies to senior stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

Cloud Expertise :

- Deep hands-on experience with Azure (IaaS/PaaS) including VNETs, Firewalls, Gateways, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute.

- Proficiency in designing hybrid networking solutions (SD-WAN, VPNs, MPLS, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).

Virtualization & On-Prem :

- Extensive knowledge of VMware virtualization, Windows Server deployments, and infrastructure clustering.

- Strong background in enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery architectures.

Networking & Security :

- Solid understanding of Cisco-based network environments and enterprise security practices.

- Experience integrating identity and access management (IAM), firewalls, and SIEM/SOC solutions into hybrid architectures.

Leadership & Delivery :

- Proven track record in leading infrastructure transformation projects in complex IT environments.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

- Ability to balance business, cost, performance, and security priorities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent certifications.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP/VCAP).

- Strong knowledge of automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC).

- Experience with containerization platforms (Kubernetes, AKS, VMware Tanzu) is a plus.

- Familiarity with ITIL/Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
