Senior Full Stack Wordpress Engineer

The Role :

- Build and optimise high-performing, secure, and scalable WordPress solutions.

- Partner with designers, product owners, and key stakeholders to shape project goals and specifications.

- Write clean, modular code that prioritises efficiency, maintainability, and industry best practices.

- Keep pace with the latest advancements in CMS platforms and web technologies.

- Coordinate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and system integration.

What Youll Bring :

- Strong experience in backend development, secure design, and WordPress standards.

- Solid understanding of Agile development practices.

- Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Clean Code, and TDD.

- Debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms.

- Experience with Laravel, React, Drupal, Git, CI/CD is a plus.

The ideal candidate should have :

- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications

- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers

- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial

- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

- Good verbal and good written English

- Experience in using Asana is preferable but not critical

- Preferably a good design eye

- Ideally 12+ years experience of working with WordPress
