Were seeking a visionary Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact Core Platform team responsible for building and scaling the mission-critical systems that power financial and transactional capabilities across LinkedIns global ecosystem. This is a highly strategic role that blends strong people leadership with deep technical expertise in high-volume distributed systems.

What Youll Do:

- Define and drive the technical roadmap for core platform services supporting global financial and transactional workflows.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and innovation.

- Architect, design, and guide the development of scalable, resilient distributed systems handling high throughput and low-latency workloads.

- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams to build robust solutions aligned with business goals.

- Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of security, reliability, observability, and performance.

- Provide hands-on technical leadershipdeep-diving into design reviews, architecture discussions, and critical code paths when needed.

- Drive engineering best practices: code quality, CI/CD, testing strategies, documentation, and operational readiness.

- Oversee production performance, incident management, and long-term system resilience.

What Youll Bring:

- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep expertise in backend, distributed systems, or platform engineering.

- Mandatory: 3+ years in Fintech, Payments, Trading, or high-security Transactional systems, with hands-on exposure to compliance and risk frameworks.

- Proven success in leading high-performing engineering teams (people management experience required).

- Strong architectural expertise with scalable microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud-native systems, and high-throughput data flows.

- Experience with technologies such as Java/Scala/Go, distributed caching, messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar), NoSQL/SQL databases, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillscomfortable aligning technical strategy with organizational goals.
