We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams in building scalable, reliable, and user-centric products. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced B2C product environment.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Drive end-to-end product development, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance while maintaining high coding standards and best practices.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
- Oversee architectural decisions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Define and track engineering metrics to measure team performance and product quality.
- Manage resource allocation, hiring, and career growth for team members.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, especially in the eCommerce and B2C space.
Requirements :
- 9+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years in a leadership/people management role with experience managing cross-functional or backend engineering teams.
- Proven hands-on expertise in at least one backend programming language : Java, Python, or Golang.
- Experience in building and scaling products for a B2C company (eCommerce domain preferred).
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
