Role Overview :

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust installation solutions for our software products.

You will collaborate closely with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless and reliable software deployments.

Your work will directly impact the user experience by ensuring smooth installations and upgrades, contributing to increased customer satisfaction and reduced support costs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement installation packages using InstallShield and InstallScript for Windows-based applications to ensure efficient and reliable software deployment.

- Develop and maintain installation scripts and custom actions to handle complex installation scenarios and configurations for diverse client environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues reported by QA, support, and end-users to minimize downtime and ensure a positive user experience.

- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate installation processes into the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate releases.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for installation procedures and troubleshooting guides to empower support teams and end-users.

- Optimize installation processes for performance and reliability to reduce installation times and improve the overall user experience.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of installation scripts.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining installation packages using InstallShield, including advanced scripting with InstallScript.

- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex installation issues in Windows environments.

- Strong understanding of software deployment methodologies and best practices.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement them independently.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 3-8 years of experience in software installation and deployment.
