Job Title : Senior Engineer Kafka, Java & Microservices

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

The role involves designing, developing, configuring, and optimizing distributed event-driven applications and Kafka-based integration services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, configure, and manage Apache Kafka clusters, including topics, partitions, offsets, replication, and consumer groups.

- Develop Kafka Producers, Consumers, Publishers, and Subscribers for real-time data streaming and event processing.

- Create, deploy, and troubleshoot Kafka Connectors and KStream applications.

- Implement end-to-end Pub/Sub integration patterns across distributed systems.

- Design and develop scalable Java / Spring Boot microservices integrated with Kafka.

- Automate and optimize deployments using UNIX scripting and SQL operations.

- Implement Kafka cluster security, authorization, authentication, and monitoring.

- Debug performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability and resiliency of streaming services.

- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and business teams to deliver robust streaming solutions.

Essential Skills & Technical Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka configuration, pub/sub integration, and cluster setup

- Kafka Connect, KStream development, custom connectors

- Java 8+/Spring/Spring Boot microservices development

- Kafka security (SASL, ACL, SSL) and cluster administration

- Strong skills in SQL & UNIX shell scripting

- Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging, and real-time data pipelines

Good-to-Have Skills (Optional) :

- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) for Kafka deployments

- Exposure to performance tuning and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, etc.)

- CI/CD and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and debugging ability

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
