- Analyze system requirements and convert them into software architecture and detailed designs.

- Implement reliable, efficient, and scalable firmware solutions using Embedded C and C++.

- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, integration, and maintenance.

RTOS and Real-Time Application Development :

- Develop and optimize applications using RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, or other POSIX-compliant operating systems.

- Design and implement multi-threaded and multi-process applications.

- Develop task scheduling, synchronization, inter-task communication, and resource management mechanisms.

- Implement and optimize real-time performance requirements and system responsiveness.

- Analyze and resolve real-time performance bottlenecks.

Device Driver Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain low-level device drivers and board support packages (BSPs).

- Work extensively with communication peripherals and interfaces including :

1. UART

2. SPI

3. I2C

4. Timers

5. GPIO

Serial Communication Interfaces :

- Develop and validate hardware abstraction layers (HAL) and middleware components.

- Perform firmware integration with hardware platforms.

Hardware-Software Integration :

- Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams during board bring-up and product development.

- Interface firmware with sensors, communication modules, processors, and peripheral devices.

- Support hardware validation and troubleshooting activities.

- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.

Debugging and Troubleshooting :

- Perform root-cause analysis and debugging of complex embedded system issues.

- Utilize debugging and validation tools such as :

1. JTAG Debuggers

2. Oscilloscopes

3. Logic Analyzers

3. Multimeters

- Investigate firmware crashes, memory leaks, timing issues, and communication failures.

- Optimize software for performance, reliability, and resource utilization.

Software Quality and Testing :

- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and system-level validation procedures.

- Ensure software quality through code reviews, static analysis, and testing activities.

- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment processes where applicable.

- Maintain compliance with coding standards and development best practices.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Work effectively within Agile, Scrum, Sprint, and Waterfall development methodologies.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities.

- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, systems, and product management teams.

- Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, and user documentation.

- Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior engineers.
