About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, securing, and optimizing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with Engineering, Security, and QA teams to build highly scalable, reliable, and secure platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Build and maintain secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
- Lead Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and day-to-day operations, including self-managed Kubernetes and EKS/GKE.
- Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning, compliance checks, secrets management, and policy enforcement into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, CloudWatch, ELK, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and promote a shift-left approach.
- Manage and optimize Linux-based systems such as Ubuntu and Red Hat.
- Support and manage databases including MySQL and MongoDB.
- Define and maintain robust Disaster Recovery, Backup, High Availability, and Business Continuity strategies.
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives while maintaining infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and deployment issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps tools and practices, including:
1. Container/Image Scanning
2. Secrets Management Vault, AWS Secrets Manager
3. Policy Enforcement OPA, Kyverno
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Shell scripting, and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
- Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, EKS/GKE, etc.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, or similar.
- Good understanding of DNS and CDN configuration, including Route 53, CloudFront, Akamai, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.
- Good understanding of networking and network security principles.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Policy-as-Code and compliance frameworks such as CIS and SOC 2.
- Hands-on experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.
- Contributions to open-source projects or DevOps communities.
- Experience driving DevSecOps adoption across engineering teams.
