Role Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Infrastructure Management :

- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure on AWS and GCP, including services like Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), RDS/Cloud SQL, Artifact Registry/ECR, Pub/Sub/SQS, Cloud Functions/Lambda, Cloud Storage/S3, and Redis/Memorystore.

- Implement networking configurations (VPC, peering, firewall rules) to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across environments.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Develop and manage Terraform templates for provisioning and maintaining cloud resources.

- Standardize infrastructure deployment to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention.

CI/CD Pipeline Management :

- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of containerized applications.

- Integrate security scans and automated testing into deployment workflows.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization :

- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Google Cloud Operations Suite, AppDynamics, and Splunk.

- Conduct regular performance tuning of cloud workloads to ensure high availability and minimal latency.

Security & Compliance :

- Define and enforce IAM policies, security groups, and compliance controls across AWS and GCP.

- Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and implement best practices for cloud security.

Automation & Cost Optimization :

- Automate operational tasks, backups, and scaling processes using scripts and cloud-native tools.

- Drive cost optimization strategies, including scheduled resource management and rightsizing.

Collaboration & Governance :

- Work closely with development, QA, and cloud architecture teams to ensure alignment between infrastructure and application needs.

- Participate in daily stand-ups, operational reviews, and monthly governance meetings with key stakeholders.

- Maintain detailed documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, ElastiCache) and GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Artifact Registry, Cloud Functions, MemoryStore).

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).

- Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.

- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

- Expertise in cloud networking (VPC, peering, interconnects, DNS, and load balancers).

- Experience in monitoring tools like Google Cloud Operations Suite, Splunk, and AppDynamics.

- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.

- Experience in enterprise-scale support environments with L2/L3 operations exposure.

- Familiarity with database migration tools and performance tuning (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Prior experience in automation of application monitoring and cost-control mechanisms.
