Purpose of the role :

The role is to drive and manage DevOps function, lead a team of DevOps engineers, and own infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability across all projects. The role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with team leadership.

The successful candidate will define DevOps practices, principles, and architecture standards while ensuring smooth execution of project setups and the stability of production environments. They will act as the senior technical authority for the DevOps team and the primary escalation point for platform and infrastructure matters.

Technical Skills Required :

- Minimum 8-14 years of professional experience in DevOps / Platform / SRE roles.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes-bare-metal cluster setup is mandatory.

- Deep understanding of Helm charts and Helm-based deployments.

- Solid experience with Nginx, Keepalived, and ingress controllers.

- Expertise in messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

- Experience with cloud services (GCP strongly preferred).

- Experience with container registries (GCR or equivalent).

- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

Job Responsibilities :

1. Team Leadership and Strategy :

- Allocate tasks and plan sprint, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

- Architect highly available, scalable, distributed systems.

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging strategies. Ensure system security, backup, and disaster-recovery planning.

- Optimize performance, cost, and resource utilization across the platform.

2. Infrastructure and Kubernetes Management :

- Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on bare-metal Kubernetes clusters. Oversee setup, scaling, and version upgrades of Kubernetes clusters.

- Manage Docker container builds and orchestration across environments.

- Configure and maintain ingress controllers and traffic routing.

- Ensure capacity planning, resource allocation, and cluster health monitoring. Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on complex infrastructure decisions.

3. CI/CD and Automation :

- Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines end to end.

- Maintain and optimize GitHub repositories, workflows, and branching strategies.

- Implement automated build, test, and deployment strategies. Ensure high availability and zero-downtime deployments.

Minimum Qualification :

Bachelors Degree (minimum) in one of the following fields : Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
