Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Developer with strong expertise in database development, SQL optimization, data modeling, and ETL. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing high-performance database solutions, optimizing complex queries, and supporting enterprise data platforms. Experience with Teradata and the Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) domain is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise database solutions using SQL and relational database technologies.

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.

- Perform data modeling, database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Analyze execution plans and troubleshoot database performance issues.

- Develop and support ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Collaborate with application, data engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

- Support database deployments, releases, and production issue resolution.

- Implement unit testing, functional testing, and DevOps best practices for database development.

- Work with job scheduling tools to automate data processing and workflow execution.

- Prepare technical documentation and ensure adherence to database development standards.

Required Skills :

- 5 to 7 years of experience in Database Development.

- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Stored Procedures, Data Modeling, Indexing, and Database Performance Tuning.

- Experience analyzing query execution plans and optimizing database performance.

- Experience with Teradata (preferred) or other enterprise RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2.

- 5-7 years of experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, DataStage, Talend, or similar.

- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux and shell commands.

- Experience with scripting using Shell, Python, or Perl is an advantage.

- Experience with job scheduling tools such as AutoSys, Control-M, Cron, or equivalent.

- Understanding of DevOps practices, database version control, and testing methodologies.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
