About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise database platforms across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake, hosted primarily on AWS. This role is responsible for database performance, availability, security, automation, disaster recovery, and production support for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake environments

- Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance and reliability

- Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions including Always On, Replication, Clustering, and Log Shipping

- Manage backups, recovery, upgrades, patching, and database maintenance

- Support AWS database services including RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM

- Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL

- Ensure database security, compliance, auditing, and access controls

- Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations

- Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of Database Administration experience

- Strong expertise in SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and performance tuning

- Hands-on PostgreSQL administration and replication experience

- Snowflake administration and support experience

- Strong AWS knowledge (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)

- Experience with HA/DR, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning

- Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform and experience with DevOps practices and Version Control (Git)

Preferred Certifications :

- AWS Certified Database Specialty

- AWS Solutions Architect

- SnowPro Core Certification

- Microsoft SQL Certifications

- PostgreSQL Certifications
