About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL, along with a strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and data transformations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services.

- Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using BigQuery for analytics and reporting.

- Implement data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation processes from multiple data sources.

- Develop and manage Cloud Functions to automate data workflows and system integrations.

- Utilize GCP Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL for structured and unstructured data management.

- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets and insights.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle.

- Optimize query performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components, including :

1. BigQuery

2. Cloud Storage

3. Cloud Functions

4. Cloud SQL

- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline design, data modeling, and data transformation best practices.

- Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).

- Experience in Python or Java for data processing and automation.

- Familiarity with translation and data mapping processes is a plus.

- Experience working in an Agile environment with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)

Good to Have :

- Knowledge of Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Composer (Airflow).

- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security practices.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data deployment automation.
