Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer / BI Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and BI solutions.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into robust and scalable solutions.

Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to make data-driven decisions, improve operational efficiency, and gain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Airflow to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.

- Develop and maintain data models and transformations using dbt core to ensure data quality and consistency across the organization.

- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

- Optimize data warehouse performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in data pipelines and queries.

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with the necessary data infrastructure and tools.

- Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance.

- Mentor junior data engineers and BI developers, providing guidance and support on best practices and technologies.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow.

- Proven ability to build and optimize data models and transformations using dbt core.

- Strong proficiency in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience working with Snowflake DB.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment based in Chennai.
