Role Overview :

Senior Data Analyst (HR, Finance & Governance Analytics, AWS Platform)

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive insights across HR, Finance, and Governance domains on a modern AWS-based data platform. This role will focus on translating complex data into actionable intelligence, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring data integrity across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and interpret data across HR, Finance, and Governance domains to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key business metrics (e.g., workforce analytics, financial performance, compliance indicators).

- Partner with business stakeholders (HR, Finance, Risk/Compliance teams) to define KPIs and reporting requirements.

- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from platforms such as Redshift and Athena.

- Perform data validation and reconciliation across legacy and modern systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models, business logic, and transformation requirements.

- Leverage governed datasets and metadata tools (Atlan or similar) for data discovery, lineage, and compliance reporting.

- Implement and monitor data quality checks using tools like Soda or SQL-based frameworks.

- Conduct root cause analysis on data discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement.

- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

Skills and Requirements :

- 6-8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles.

- Strong SQL skills with experience working on large-scale datasets.

- Experience analyzing HR (workforce), Finance (revenue, cost), and Governance (compliance, audit) data domains.

- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, etc.).

- Familiarity with AWS data ecosystem (Redshift, S3, Athena).

- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling preferred).

- Experience with data governance and catalog tools (Atlan, Collibra, or Alation).

- Exposure to data quality and validation practices (Soda or equivalent).

- Basic Python skills for data analysis are a plus.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and executive stakeholders.
