Description :

Role : Senior - Cloud Reliability Engineer

Experience : 4+ Years

Company : Searce

Role Type : Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) / Hands-on Technical Lead

Role Summary :

Searce is seeking a Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer who is far more than a "break-fix" specialist. In this role, you are a hands-on solver and the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for our clients' most critical production environments. You won't just close tickets; you will engineer measurable outcomes including improved uptime, reduced latency, and significant cost savings. This role demands a blend of high-stakes troubleshooting and proactive automation. You will be the architect of reliability, embedding AIOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) into the core of our Cloud Managed Services GTM. As a technical mentor and trusted advisor, you will transform operational noise into hardened, secure, and optimized cloud architectures that define the future of business resilience.

Responsibilities :

- Service Reliability Ownership : Act as the technical lead for 24/7 cloud operations, ensuring strict adherence to SLOs through deep-dive troubleshooting and incident management.

- Engineering the Blueprint : Translate complex client requirements into scalable, secure cloud architectures by writing and maintaining production-grade IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).

- Intelligent Automation : Lead the keyboard-driven effort to eliminate "toil" by embedding AI-driven automation and predictive monitoring into core operational processes.

- Technical FinOps Execution : Own the hands-on engineering required to analyze and optimize cloud spend, ensuring clients receive maximum value from their cloud investments.

- Operational Playbook Authoring : Create and manage a repository of reusable frameworks and operational playbooks to ensure squad scalability and consistency.

- Expert Advocacy : Represent Searce's technical depth through internal demos, comprehensive documentation, and deep-dive sessions that simplify operational complexity.

- Squad Mentorship : Foster a high-performing technical culture through rigorous Code Reviews and collaborative problem-solving, championing the Always Hardened mindset.

- Cross-Functional Catalysis : Partner across operations, security, and development teams to ensure a unified approach to service delivery and client satisfaction.

Technical Requirements :

- Cloud Infrastructure Pedigree : 4+ years of hands-on experience in managing complex cloud infrastructure, with a significant background in Cloud Managed Services (MSP).

- Client-Facing Acumen : 2+ years acting as a trusted technical advisor, capable of deconstructing high-level business concerns into technical reliability goals.

- IaC & Automation Proficiency : Expert-level skills in Infrastructure as Code and scripting for automated system recovery and configuration management.

- AIOps & Monitoring : Proficiency in modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and embedding predictive analytics into monitoring workflows.

- FinOps Knowledge : Technical understanding of cloud billing structures and the engineering required to implement automated cost-saving measures.

The DNA of a Searcian (Soft Skills) :

- Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) : Takes full ownership of system outcomes, moving beyond a "ticket-focused" mindset to a "results-focused" one.

- Service Delivery Mindset : Deeply understands the MSP business model and the critical nature of maintaining high client trust and satisfaction.

- Analytical Rigor : Obsessive passion for technology and the ability to ask the right questions to get to the heart of operational failures.

- Always Hardened : A commitment to security-first and reliability-first engineering, ensuring that today's production is ready for tomorrow's scale.

- Founder Mindset : Acts with the urgency and responsibility of an owner, viewing every system bottleneck as an opportunity for architectural improvement.
