Senior Scala Backend Engineer

- 3+ yrs in Scala

- Familiar with Akka framework

- 8+ yrs exp in software development

- Good grasp of functional programming

- Experience with RESTful microservices

- Strong in TDD using ScalaTest / Mockito

- Hands-on with SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL

- Comfortable with Docker & Kubernetes

- Clear communication with stakeholders

- Knowledge of AWS / Azure

- Experience with sbt / Maven

- Skilled in Git + CI/CD workflows

- Proven ability in cloud-based systems

- Excellent problem solving & debugging

- Build and maintain REST APIs & services

- Help QA with test strategy and automation

- Deliver clean, scalable solutions through sound architecture

- Follow Agile processes and best practices

- Review peer code and offer feedback

- Work with SMEs to translate business needs

- Integrate with new and existing clients

- Suggest creative ideas to resolve issues

- Adapt to unfamiliar systems or tasks

- Boost quality and efficiency across SDLC

- Experience with Spring Boot + Scala

- Knowledge of Cats / Scalaz / FS2 / Slick

- Exposure to FIX / FpML / QuickFixJ

- Understanding of trade lifecycle

- Comfort working on Unix/Linux systems

- Familiarity with SCRUM or Agile teams
