Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer Python / Django / FastAPI

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in designing and building scalable backend systems using Python, Django, FastAPI, and modern cloud technologies. This role requires a strong hands-on engineer who can architect backend services, define engineering standards, mentor developers, and build secure, high-performance systems for platform-driven products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and architect scalable backend services and APIs

- Build maintainable, secure, and high-performance backend systems

- Develop REST and gRPC APIs for internal and external platform integrations

- Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries

- Build distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous workflows

- Work closely with frontend engineers and product teams on API contracts

- Integrate AI services and third-party platforms where needed

- Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and operational best practices

- Contribute to CI/CD improvements, deployment reliability, and code quality

- Drive engineering standards through code reviews and technical mentoring

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of backend development experience

- Strong Python development experience

- Solid hands-on experience with Django and/or FastAPI

- Strong understanding of backend architecture and software design principles

- Experience building REST APIs and gRPC services

- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server

- Experience with distributed systems and microservices

- Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

- Exposure to Redis, Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka

- Experience mentoring engineers and participating in architecture decisions

Good to Have:

- Healthcare software / healthtech experience

- DICOM or medical imaging workflow exposure

- AI/ML service integration experience

- Kubernetes exposure

- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana

- Understanding of security and event-driven architecture
