Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, Advanced SQL, Cloud, and DevOps to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable backend services and cloud-native applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience developing APIs and data-processing solutions, and the ability to design and deploy highly available, scalable, secure, and observable cloud-based systems.

Mandatory Skills :

- Python : strong hands-on experience in scripting and backend/service development

- Advanced SQL : complex queries, query optimization, performance tuning, and data modelling

- Backend Engineering : APIs, server-side development, data processing, performance, scalability, and security

- Cloud : hands-on experience with AWS / Azure / GCP

- DevOps : CI/CD automation, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and production operations

- Docker & Kubernetes : containerization and orchestration

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Terraform or equivalent tools

- System Design - availability, scalability, observability, reliability, and secure deployment patterns

- REST APIs / Microservices

- Production Support & Operational Readiness

- Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

- Build efficient data-processing solutions using Python and SQL.

- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.

- Design cloud-native applications and deployments using AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.

- Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools.

- Monitor application performance, availability, reliability, and infrastructure health.

- Implement secure, scalable, and highly available production deployments.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Participate in architecture and system design discussions.

- Ensure backend systems follow best practices for security, scalability, maintainability, and observability.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, cloud, and architecture teams.
