Founding Backend Engineer (3 - 6 YOE)

Who We Are Hiring

We are looking to hire an exceptionally strong backend engineer with 3-6 years of experience for a Founding Engineer role.

Were not hiring for scale - were hiring for impact. The ideal candidate has demonstrated outstanding performance year after year, has built products from 0-1, and thrives in high-ownership, fast-paced environments.

Technical Requirements :

- Strong hands-on experience in Java or Node.js.

- Experience building and running systems on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.)

- Strong foundation in Relational Databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) - schema design, indexing, performance tuning

- Proficiency with Messaging Queues (e.g. SQS, Kafka)

- Experience designing clean APIs, debugging production systems, and building scalable backend architectures

What Were Looking For (Soft Signals) :

- Strong ownership - candidates whove taken full responsibility for building, shipping, and iterating systems

- Clear history of contributing meaningfully to 0 - 1 or 1- 10 journeys

- Ability to move fast, write clean code, and make sound architectural decisions

- Engineers whove been the go-to person in their previous teams
