Operating in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, our backend teams specialize in modern frameworks, data platforms, infrastructure engineering, DevOps practices, and scalable service architectures.

This is a senior-level, individual contributor role focused on hands-on technical leadership in backend architecture.

You will drive complex, cross-domain backend initiatives, lead strategic R&D to champion new technologies company-wide, and spearhead Multi-Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud backend strategies to ensure highly secure, scalable, and resilient architecture patterns.

Core Responsibilities :

1. Architectural Leadership :

- Drive complex backend architecture initiatives across multiple engineering and technology domains.

2. Strategic R&D :

- Lead strategic research and development efforts to evaluate new backend technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, championing their adoption across the organization.

3. Cloud Strategy :

- Spearhead Multi-Cloud & Hybrid-Cloud backend strategies, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient architecture patterns.

4. System Design & Governance :

- Design stateful backends capable of handling large-scale data, including message brokers, distributed queues, and caching layers.

- Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) protocols for critical production systems.

5. Mentorship & Collaboration :

- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions at scale, and influence and align cross-functional stakeholders.

Technical & Professional Requirements :

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

- Experience : 14+ years in software development, including at least 4 years acting in an Architect or Staff Engineer capacity focused on backend systems.

- SaaS & Distributed Systems : Expert-level experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS products using distributed architectures, REST, and event-driven architectures with low-latency, high-throughput, in-memory systems.

- Concurrency & Execution : In-depth understanding of Asynchronous programming, Multi-Threading, and Multi-Processing architectures to optimize code execution for maximum concurrency.

- Languages : Proficiency in Python or Rust, backed by a strong foundation in software engineering principles.

- Knowledge of Rust is a strong plus, especially regarding high-performance, memory safety, and ownership principles.

- Databases & Architecture : Deep mastery of system design, database architecture (both SQL & NoSQL), microservices, observability, resilience engineering, and secure coding practices.

- Mentorship : A proven history of mentoring engineers and steering high-level architectural outcomes.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) :

- Exposure to big data platforms and stream processing.

- Experience building and maintaining machine learning infrastructure.

- Multi-cloud environment deployment and management experience (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
